Water Songs: From Bangladesh to the Thames

Tuesday 19 May 2026, 1.30-2.15pm, The Chain Store, Trinity Buoy Wharf, 64 Orchard Place, E14 0JW

Join 200 children from across Tower Hamlets for a joyful celebration of English and Bengali folk traditions, inspired by Bangladesh’s river songs and East London’s maritime past. Featuring Bengali folk songs, English sea shanties, and newly composed songs, the performance will be led by singers Jessica Summers and Sohini Alam, with live music from British-Bengali band Khiyo and local tabla students. This project is produced and delivered by THAMES and World Heart Beat, as part of its Trinity Buoy Sounds project.

This event is free and unticketed
