Location: Shapla Centre, 19 Ensign Street, London E1 8JD

This will be a practical workshop designed for specialist and non-specialist music teachers alike. It will include singing tips, warm ups and activities designed to successfully engage students and encourage healthy vocal technique for 7 to 11 year olds. It will introduce repertoire for the KS2 Choir Spring Sharing and explore how to use the resources most efficiently in your planning and classroom teaching. You do not have to be taking part in the KS2 Choir Spring sharing to be able to attend this CPD.

Rachel Maby joined THAMES management in June 2025 and oversees music provision in schools, primary CPD, singing strategy and performance opportunities for Tower Hamlets young people.

She has more than fifteen years of experience as a choral and music curriculum educator. Recent choral engagements include outreach work with The Sixteen, West Sussex Music and Ark Music. She’s coached and mentored teachers in curriculum and vocal music delivery on behalf of ABRSM Voices, Welsh National Opera, West Sussex Music, Music Education Islington and Music in Secondary Schools Trust.
