Together with our partners, we work to ensure that all children and young people in Tower Hamlets have access to a range of high quality arts opportunities. Our current partners can be found on the Partners page.
We work with partners to shape creative projects that best fit schools' needs, support the National Curriculum, train and upskill teachers and provide opportunities for young people to work with world-class artists.
We work across music, drama, dance, visual art, film & media and museums & heritage. In the last couple of years, we have collaborated with partners on singing and instrumental projects, operas, music technology and production, jazz, visual art exhibitions, film making, drama programmes, dance workshops, youth voice initiatives and a vast range of CPD programmes for teachers across all artforms.
Our Cultural Partners Network is open to all cultural organisations who works with young people in Tower Hamlets. We hold meet-ups a couple of times to catch up on programmes, network and have focused presentations and discussions on current issues affecting arts education and participation.
Interested in working with THAMES?
Organisations can contact THAMES to discuss links or partnership opportunities.
We ask that partners regularly communicate with THAMES to share activity they are delivering in Tower Hamlets so that we have an overview and can signpost young people accordingly.
We communicate with schools regularly to let them know what is available to them and their students. We can support partners with recruiting schools/young people to participate in projects and programmes.
