In this period of uncertainty we are working hard to continue supporting schools, students and families by providing a range of on-line activities including instrumental/vocal tuition, performances, sing-alongs as well as curriculum support and CPD for teachers.

All Tutors will be providing a variety of materials and activities for schools including:

  • Curriculum support
  • Long and medium term planning documents for all instrumental and vocal tuition taking place
  • Outcomes for progression specific to all students engaged in whole class, small group and individual learning
  • Practice tips and advice for those with instruments at home
  • Progressive sequences of weekly pre-recorded lessons and musical activities with supportive resources
  • A bank of bespoke and general free resources
  • Synchronous online instrumental tuition for individuals and subsequently small groups
  • Play along materials/virtual rehearsals and recordings for THAMES Music Centre members
  • Pre-recorded tutor and/or student performances
  • All online work will be conducted in line with the Council’s and THAMES’ Online Safeguarding procedures
  • Resources, opportunities and activities from our cultural partners are available and regularly updated
